Charges have been laid after a 16-year-old St. Thomas girl was allegedly held against her will and punched in the face in what police are calling a domestic assault.
The teen was at the home of an 18-year-old man Sunday night when the two got into a verbal argument that quickly turned physical. According to St. Thomas police, the girl was hit several times with a phone charger, told she couldn't leave the residence, and punched in the face. Her cell phone was also smashed during the altercation.
The 18-year-old was arrested and is charged with two counts of domestic assault, one count of domestic mischief, and one count of forcible confinement.
