Juno organizers seeking volunteers

Organizers of the 2019 Juno Award festivities are looking for some help.

The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences is inviting people in the London area to volunteer during Juno Week in March.

"Volunteers will have the chance to meet and work alongside like-minded music lovers, while experiencing first-hand the unique opportunity of participating and assisting in the execution of a pillar event in the Canadian entertainment industry," it said in a news release issued Monday.

Volunteer applications opened Monday. Anyone interested in volunteering can get more information at www.junoawards.ca/volunteer. Applicants must be 19 years of age or older to qualify.

The week-long music celebration begins Monday, March 11 and finishes with the awards ceremony and broadcast on Sunday, March 17.
