Knights trounce Otters 8-1

Connor McMichael led the London Knights to their 13th straight win with an 8-1 victory over the Erie Otters on Friday.

Cole Tymkin kicked things off for London with a goal 3:32 into the first period, and McMichael added another less than two minutes later.  The Otters made it on the board with a goal late in the frame, but Tymkin scored his second of the night to bring Londo's lead to 3-1.

Matthew Timms and Jacob Golden scored back-to-back goals in the second to increase the Knights lead again to 5-1.

McMichael scored his second goal of the night 25 seconds into the third, followed by Josh Nelson who added London's seventh goal at the 12:55 mark. McMichael completed a hat-trick by scoring with just over five minutes left in the game to cap off London's huge win.

London goaltender Joseph Raaymakers made 34 saves out of 35 shots in net.

The Knights return home on Sunday to take on the Sarnia Sting at 2 p.m.
