A pledge to end bullying has evolved into a to a full-on "kindness mission" in the London community.
Supported by local businesses and school boards, The Pledge to End Bullying campaign launched at Covent Garden Market in London on Monday. A large number of students from London's secondary and elementary schools attended the event, and promised to stand up to bullies in schools and in the community.
The Pledge, which began 10 years ago, is a public awareness campaign that aims to eliminate harassment and abuse in the community. The campaign also kicked off Anti-Bullying Week this week.
This year, the campaign now has a broader focus to simply spread kindness by sharing a smile, holding a door, or just engage with others in the community in a positive manner.
Students, parents and organizations across London are asked to take The Pledge at ThePledgeToEndBullying.ca.
