UPDATE: Pedestrian seriously hurt in London crash

London police say a pedestrian has been seriously hurt in a crash.

It happened around 3:30 p.m. on Highbury Ave. between Cheapside St. and Huron St.  Police say that a vehicle struck a pedestrian.

The victim has been taken to hospital with serious injuries. It was later determined that those injuries are not life-threatening.

That area of Highbury Ave. was closed for some time so police could complete their investigation, and drivers were asked to stay out of the area. Highbury Ave. has since been reopened.

There has been no word on any charges, and no additional information has been released. London police would like to thank the public for their understanding and patience in this matter.
