A severe thunderstorm watch has been lifted in the London region.
On the heels of an advisory from Environment Canada that heavy rain was expected, the weather agency issued the watch for London, Middlesex County, Elgin County and Oxford County.
"Conditions are favourable for the development of dangerous thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts and torrential rain," Environment Canada said. "The threat of severe thunderstorms will be this afternoon through early evening."
The watch was lifted just after 8pm.
