7-Year-Old Killed In Crash Mourned By Friends, Family

A 7-year-old girl tragically killed in a two-vehicle crash is being remembered for her smile and animal-loving nature.

Aleiya Rose Hellowell-Hall died in the hospital on Monday after the car she was in collided with a pickup truck on Nairn Rd. in Middlesex Centre.

In her obituary, her family described Hellowell-Hall as a "perfect princess" and someone who "shared her precious smiles freely during her short life of innocence and dreams."

"Aleiya was beautiful in every way and beamed with pride at the many loving nicknames given to her including, Weezy, Leiy and Bean," the obituary read.  "Aleiya leaves behind her mommy Meghan and daddy Tom, who she loved and was loved by, more than words could say."

As a lover of animals, Hellowell-Hall shared everything with her dog Ollie and also enjoyed bird watching.

A visitation will be held at M.Box & Son Funeral Home in Parkhill, on Saturday from 12pm-2pm and 5pm-8pm. Another visitation will be held on Sunday at the North Middlesex Community Centre from 12pm-2pm.  A service will then take place at 2pm.

The family is inviting classmates and friends to bring drawings and cards to the visitation. They are also asking that stuffed teddy bears be brought and collected during the visitation and service, which will be donated to local emergency services to give comfort to children in a time of need.

The family asks that any other donations be may be made to the Diabetes Association or the Canadian Cancer Society.

An OPP investigation into the cause of the crash that claimed Hellowell-Hall's life is ongoing.
