A London man is facing impaired and dangerous driving charges after an east-end crash that caused over $20,000 in damages.
London police were called after a vehicle heading south on Veterans Memorial Pkwy. at a high rate of speed skidded out of control onto Admiral Dr. around 9pm on Thursday.
The vehicle crashed into two traffic signs, a fence, and a London Hydro box before coming to a stop. The driver then took off on foot but was stopped and held by witnesses until officers arrived, said police.
Property damage from the crash is estimated at $20,800.
A 46-year-old London man is charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, driving while ability impaired and failure to stop at the scene of a crash. He will appear in court to answer to the charges on August 2.
