Charge Laid In Grey St. Murder

A 35-year-old London man is now charged with first-degree murder in the stabbing death of a man on Grey St.

London police say Tony Lynn Huff-Williams is accused of killing Roy Joseph Gowdy, 44, of London. Gowdy was pronounced dead after being rushed to hospital with stab wounds. Emergency crews were called about a stabbing at a small bungalow on Grey St. between Maitland St. and William St. around 9:55pm Tuesday.

Police announced Wednesday that they had a suspect in custody. Huff-Williams is also charged with aggravated assault in connection with a stabbing that happened at a home on Simcoe St. around 6:30pm Tuesday, a few hours before Gowdy was stabbed. Huff-Williams appeared in court Wednesday in relation to the Simcoe St. incident. A publication ban was issued covering any evidence presented during the hearing.

He is to appear in court against on Wednesday, May 2.
