An elderly woman from St. Marys is dead after a two-vehicle crash involving a transport truck near Sebringville.
Elizabeth Hibbert, 81, was one of two people airlifted to hospital after a car and transport truck collided on Perth Rd. 130 near Perth Line 32 around 4pm on Monday. Hibbert, an occupant of the car, was pronounced dead in hospital. The second occupant of the car is still in hospital with unspecified injuries.
The driver of the transport truck was not hurt.
Perth Rd. 130 was closed at several intersections for several hours while police conducted an investigation. It was reopened late Monday evening.
Charges are not expected to be laid, according to Perth OPP.
