(BlackburnNews.com file photo)A 36-year-old man from Aylmer is dead after he was hit by a car in Elgin County.
OPP say it happened Sunday around 6pm. Police say the man was hit by a 2012 Chrysler 200 on Talbot Line near Carter Rd. Malahide Fire Service and St. Thomas Elgin paramedics responded to the scene and the man was rushed to hospital, where he later died.
Police are still investigating.
Alan Smith will begin his new role with the municipality on July 20.
