Needle In Chocolate Bar Could Remain A Mystery

London police say they may never know which home in south London gave out a chocolate bar with a needle in it.

But they are confident they can narrow it down to a handful of streets. Police announced Wednesday that they were investigating after a child trick or treating in the White Oaks area got a small chocolate bar that had been tampered with.

Police say, while there is no way to tell which house the chocolate bar came from, it may have come from a home on Sasha Cr., Elvira Cr., Muriel Cr., Ernest Ave. between Jalna Blvd. and Muriel Cr., or a complex at 870 Jalna Blvd.

The child wasn't injured. Nevertheless, police are reminding parents of the importance of inspecting their children's Halloween candy. They say if anything suspicious is found, contact police.

Anyone with information in relation to this incident is asked to call the London Police Service at (519) 661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Information can also be sent in on-line anonymously to www.londoncrimestoppers.com
