(BlackburnNews.com OPP file photo)A missing 49-year-old Simcoe man has been found dead.
Norfolk County OPP confirm officers found the body of Steven Lenard Whitehead in the area of Colborne St. N and Talbot St. N around 3:45am on Tuesday. The discovery was made seven hours after police were contacted by a family member of Whitehead's, who was concerned for his safety.
Whitehead had not been heard from since 6pm on Monday.
Police do not believe foul play was involved and are not treating the death as suspicious.
Alan Smith will begin his new role with the municipality on July 20.
