A London man faces a long list of charges after an investigation into sex trafficking and a shooting in Brampton.
Chevan Dennis was arrested by Peel Regional Police and faces dozens of charges. The investigation began after police say, on August 3, a 19-year-old woman was approached at gunpoint for the purpose of working in the sex trade.
Two days later, her 20-year-old male cousin was shot. He was treated at hospital.
Police allege Dennis is responsible for both incidents.
A warrant for his arrest was issued on September 15 and he was arrested on Monday, September 25.
He faces 28 charges, including attempted murder, uttering death threats, kidnapping, forcible confinement, sexual assault with a firearm, procuring, and carrying a concealed weapon.
Dennis is being held in custody.
