Adrian Carbonara scored London's lone goal in the Knights' 5-1 loss to the Greyhounds Sunday in Sault Ste. Marie.
The Knights drop to 1-2 on the season and currently sit in third place in the OHL Midwest Division. The Knights are also third-from-last in the OHL in goals allowed over three games, with 12.
London allowed five of those goals in a row before getting on the board. The Hounds went up 2-0 in the first period of goals from Tim Gettinger and Keeghan Howdeshell, both on the power play. Gettinger scored two assists over the course of the contest.
Sault Ste. Marie added two more goals in the middle period. Morgan Frost scored his first of the year on a penalty shot to make it 3-0 Sault Ste. Marie, and Barrett Hayton scored on a power-play goal for a 4-0 lead.
Hayden Verbeek scored the Greyhounds' fifth goal over halfway through the third period. Carbonara's goal averted the shutout at 15:10 in the final frame. It was his third of the season.
Tyler Johnson stopped 34 Greyhounds shots in goal for London. Matthew Villalta saved all but one of the Knights' 22 shots.
The Knights return to Budweiser Gardens Thursday night to take on the Kingston Frontenacs.
