London Man Wanted For Wavell St. Shooting

Police have issued an arrest warrant for a 23-year-old London man who is wanted in connection with a shooting.

The London Police Service says 23-year-old Ayanle Aden of London is facing a number of charges after gunshots were fired on Wavell St. on Tuesday.  Police say an altercation between at least two people led to the gun being fired at around 6:15pm.

No injuries were reported, but police say at least two vehicles at the scene were hit by bullets.  A firearm was also recovered by officers at the scene.

Aden is wanted for the following offences:

  • Discharging a firearm with intent to endanger life
  • Careless use of a firearm
  • Possession of a restricted firearm without a licence
  • Possession of a prohibited device without a licence
  • Possession of a loaded firearm
  • Possession of a firearm that had been obtained by the commission of an offence
  • Two counts of possession of a firearm while prohibited
  • Three counts of failing to comply with a recognizance
  • Possession of a Schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking.
Aden is to be considered dangerous and should not be approached.  Police are still looking for a second suspect involved in the shooting, but that person's identity has not been released.
