The Aeolian Hall is hoping the public can help identify two men who ripped down its Pride flag and stuffed it in the sewer.
The Dundas St. theatre posted a 53 second video to YouTube on Thursday of the hostile act that happened around 1pm Sunday. In it, two men are seen walking along the sidewalk when one jumps up, grabs the flag and rips it from its perch above the front entrance.
The men then leave the flag on the ground before immediately returning, opening a nearby sewer grate and dropping the flag inside.
Aeolian officials are asking anyone with information about the incident to call the theatre at 519-672-7950 or call London police at 519-661-5670.
This is the second time this summer a rainbow flag has been targeted by vandals. A flag flying at a Tecumseh Ave. home in Wortley Village was ripped from its pole in July. The homeowners found it on the front porch with holes burned into it.
