Trouble Identifying Cyclist Killed In Crash

Provincial police are asking for the public's help identifying a woman struck and killed while riding her bicycle west of Ilderton Tuesday.

Middlesex OPP say the woman was heading south on Bear Creek Rd. between Sinclair Dr. and Ivan Dr., when she was hit by a vehicle that was also traveling south around 5pm.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

So far, officers, who have been working to identify the cyclist and notify her family, have been unable to do so.

The woman is described as 50 to 60 years old, 5'1'', 95 lbs, with grey/blonde hair. At the time of the collision she was riding a dark blue/black Norco, model Bush Pilot bicycle, with a distinctive water bottle holder.

Anyone with information that could help police identify the woman is asked to call 1-888-310-1122.
