One person has died after being struck by a vehicle while riding a bike west of Ilderton.
The Ontario Provincial Police say on Tuesday around 5pm, a female cyclist was travelling south on Bear Creek Rd. between Sinclair Dr. and Ivan Dr., when she was hit by a vehicle that was also traveling south.
The cyclist died as a result of the collision. Her name is being withheld until her next of kin have been notified.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene until police arrived and was uninjured.
Bear Creek Rd. is expected to be closed for several hours while officers conduct an investigation.
