According to Environment Canada, conditions were favourable for strong wind gusts and torrential rain. Winds had been forecast to reach speeds of up to 90 km/hr.
The weather agency issued the alert Saturday afternoon, but the line of storms being watched has moved out of the area.
They were produced during an intense storm last Saturday afternoon.
