In honour of Canada's 150th, several London citizens are being recognized for their contributions to the community.
MP Peter Fragiskatos announced on Friday that 15 Londoners have been selected for the London North Centre Honour Roll.
The London North Centre Honour Roll is an initiative launched by MP Fragiskatos in March with the purpose of identifying individuals who support a strong, supportive and inclusive community.
“Often the kindness and generosity of Londoners goes unnoticed and underappreciated. It is my sincere hope that by annually naming an honour roll from nominations submitted by the public we can thank those who strive to put their city first,” says Fragiskatos.
The recipients of the award include:
- Andy Spriet
- Helen Spriet
- Mary Yandle
- Faisal Joseph
- Penn Kemp
- Taylor Ablitt
- Nancy Poole
- The Hon. Edwin (Ed) Holder
- Elizabeth McArthur
- Jeff Lavigne
- Vito Frijia
- Mariam Elsayed
- Murray Faulkner
- Spencer Sandor
- Bob Siskind
The next call for nominations will take place in early spring 2018.
