Treyton Moore was first reported missing around 10:15pm on Monday. He was last seen south of Burford, walking from the area of Fairfield Rd. near Maple Ave.
Police say on Tuesday at around 5pm, officers were informed that Moore had been located by a member of the public. He has been safely returned to his family.
The OPP are thanking the public and the media for their help in locating the teen.
Alan Smith will begin his new role with the municipality on July 20.
