A 53-year-old London man has been arrested following two back-to-back bank robberies in downtown London that occurred within minutes of each other.
The London Police Service says on Friday at 4:30pm, officers were called to the area of Richmond St. and Dundas St. for a report of a robbery at a Scotiabank. A male suspect was seen fleeing the scene before officers arrived.
However, just minutes later at 4:35pm, officers were called to a nearby RBC bank in the area of Richmond St. and King St. for report of another robbery. Police say one man was arrested at the scene.
He's now charged in connection with both of the incidents.
No injuries were reported at either incident.
