London Man Charged In Child Abuse Investigation

Toronto police have charged two people, including a man from London, in connection with a child abuse investigation.

The Toronto Police Service says sometime between 12 to 14 years ago, two men made arrangements to sexually abuse a child at a London address. The arrangements were made online with the child's parents.

Officers with the Sex Crimes Child Exploitation Section in Toronto began the investigation in January 2016, and on January 25 of this year, officers arrested 56-year-old Martin Galloway of London in connection with the incident.

And then on February 1, 46-year-old Jacquelyn Laronde of Kingston was arrested with the help from the Kingston Police Service Internet Child Exploitation Unit.

Online, Galloway was known as “Scotdom," “Mr. Scotdom" and Scotdom@hotmail.com, while Laronde went by lfesavr@hotmail.com. At the time of the alleged sexual assault, Laronde was known as Sean O’Toole.

Laronde and Galloway are both charged with sexual assault and sexual interference.

Anyone with information regarding this investigation is asked to contact police at 416-808-8500, or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
