Man Charged In St. Marys Stabbing

A St. Marys man has been charged in connection with a stabbing that sent another man to hospital.

The Ontario Provincial Police say on Tuesday around 1:30pm, police and paramedics responded to a residence on Jones St. W in St. Marys, after the victim suffered a stabbing injury.

The male victim, whose age is unknown, was taken to a London-area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

As a result, 44-year-old Paul McNabb of St Marys has been charged with assault causing bodily harm. He was held in custody for a bail hearing on Wednesday.

The OPP say McNabb and the victim are known to each other, and there is no threat to public safety. No other suspects are being sought in connection with the stabbing.

Nine young volunteers aged 11 to 17 spent three days exploring and protecting the Lake Huron coastline during the Coastal Conservation Youth Corps' inaugural program in Grand Bend from July 21 to 23.
