Third Period Surge Lifts Spitfires Over Knights

The Windsor Spitfires rallied in the final frame to down the London Knights 5-1 on Tuesday.

Jalen Chatfield scored 11:52 into the first period to give Windsor a 1-0 lead, but London tied things up with a goal by Robert Thomas with 57 seconds left in the second.

In the third, the Spitfires kept the Knights at bay while they scored four back-to-back goals.  Hayden McCool scored early the final period, followed by Logan Stanley who made it 3-1 with 10:30 left to play. Cole Purboo and Gabriel Vilardi both scored as well to cap off Windsor's win.

The Spitfires will take on the Storm in Guelph on Friday at 7:30pm. And on the same day, the Knights are back at home to take on the Sudbury Wolves at 7:30pm.
