House Fire Causes $600K In Damage

London fire officials and the Ontario Fire Marshall are investigating the cause of a house fire in the south-end.

Firefighters were called to a two-storey home at 675 Country Club Dr. around 4:20pm on Monday. When crews arrived thick smoke and flames were shooting out of the windows on both levels at the rear of the house.

Fortunately, no one was injured in the blaze.

Damage is estimated at $600,000. Fire officials say the fire left no salvageable contents inside the home. A neighbouring home's siding was damaged by the heat from the flames.
