More than 12,000 students headed for post secondary education will get a chance to preview Western University this weekend.
During the university's Fall Preview Day on Sunday, prospective students will have the chance to see all undergraduate and professional faculties, attend various academic information sessions, mini lectures, lab tours and demonstrations, displays, student panels, and faculty tours.
“Visiting our campus is the best way for prospective students and their parents to experience life at Western,” said Lori Gribbon, Western’s director of undergraduate recruitment and admissions, in a media release. “November is a wonderful time of year to walk our beautiful campus, learn about our academic programs, tour residences and speak with current students and faculty about how Western has changed their lives.”
The students, along with their family and friends, will also be able to explore Western's campus through bus and walking tours, and can see residences and recreation centre first hand.
Last year, around 5,350 full-time first year students began their post secondary education at Western University.
