Provincial police have identified the man killed in a crash near Parkhill as 30-year-old Jonathan Hooks of Warwick Township.
Hooks was pronounced dead at the scene after the crash on Kerwood Rd. near Elm Tree Dr. Police say he was a passenger in a Ford van that went off the road just before midnight Tuesday, hit a hydro pole, and caught fire.
The driver, a 60-year-old Bosanquet Township man, suffered life threatening injuries. He was rushed to hospital, where he is listed in critical condition.
Both men were pulled from the burning vehicle by passersby.
Police are still investigating.
