Overnight Collision Leaves Pedestrian Dead

A 32-year-old man from London is dead following an overnight collision in the downtown area.

The London Police Service and London Middlesex EMS were called to a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian on York St., west of Clarence St. at approximately 2am on Monday.

Police say a vehicle travelling eastbound on York St. struck a pedestrian who suffered fatal injuries as a result of the collision.

The investigation is continuing by members of the Traffic Management Unit.

The name of the pedestrian is not being released at this time pending next of kin notification.
