London has a new city engineer.
Kelly Scherr has been appointed to the position of managing director, environmental and engineering services & city engineer. She replaces John Braam who is retiring this month after more than 30 years with the city.
Scherr is the City of Regina's director of major projects and has held various roles in engineering, construction, transportation, infrastructure, and urban planning with the Saskatchewan city since 2002.
She also played a key role in the construction of the new Canadian Football League Stadium in Regina which will house the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
A professional engineer, Scherr also holds a Masters of business administration and a Bachelor of science in regional environmental systems engineering.
Scherr's first day on the job will be October 3.
