A 20-year-old man has been seriously injured following a single-vehicle rollover crash in Elgin County, south of Vienna.
The Ontario Provincial Police say on Saturday around 8:10pm, a Volkswagen GTI was traveling north on Plank Rd., near Teal Nevill Line, when the vehicle went off the roadway, rolled several times and crashed into a tree.
A 20-year-old man was rushed to hospital with life threatening injuries.
As a result of the crash, 20-year-old Craig Carpani of Tillsonburg has been charged with over having 80mg of alcohol per 100 ml of blood causing bodily harm, careless driving, and having a blood alcohol content above zero while considered a "young driver."
Plank Rd. between Tunnel Line and Teal Nevill Line is expected to remain closed for several hours while police conduct an investigation.
