Crash Kills Two Near St. Marys

Two men are dead following a single-vehicle crash north of St. Marys.

The Ontario Provincial Police say on Saturday just after 4:30pm, officers responded to Road 149 north of Line 12 after the driver of a Mazda 6 lost control of the car. The vehicle slid sideways and entered the east ditch where it struck a large tree.

The driver, 34-year-old Travis Iredale, and the passenger, 26-year-old Kurtis Mills, were pronounced dead at the scene. Both were residents of St. Marys.

Road 149 was closed for several hours between Line 12 and Line 16 while policed conducted an investigation. The roadway was reopened to traffic just before midnight.
