Police Seek Fire Witnesses

Investigators looking into a fire that killed a Dorchester man are now asking for more help.

Middlesex OPP and the Ontario Fire Marshall's Office continue to investigate the blaze at 151 Oakwood Dr. on Tuesday. Ryan Parsons, 21, was killed in the fire. A 19-year-old woman is still in critical condition in hospital.

A 19-year-old man was able to escape the fire with only minor injuries. He was treated and released from hospital.

Police say they have spoken to surrounding neighbours, but in a release issued Thursday morning, the OPP say they believe "others may have had interactions with the fire survivor and have not yet had the opportunity to speak to investigators."

Police are asking anyone with any information or involvement to contact Middlesex County OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Information can also be given anonymously by callingl Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

Nine young volunteers aged 11 to 17 spent three days exploring and protecting the Lake Huron coastline during the Coastal Conservation Youth Corps' inaugural program in Grand Bend from July 21 to 23.
