Injuries are said to be minor after multiple vehicles including a tractor-trailer collided on Hwy. 401 near Drumbo.
Oxford OPP say a special purpose truck was heading westbound just east of County Rd. 3 when a malfunction caused the driver to lose control around 11:10am Wednesday. The truck rear ended a disabled and unattended tractor trailer that was parked on the shoulder of the busy highway, then hit a road sign before coming to rest in the ditch.
Passing motorists stopped to help the man driving the truck out of the wreckage. He was taken to hospital with non life threatening injuries.
Police say a non-hazardous liquid being hauled by the truck was contained.
A transport truck and car were involved in a secondary crash which police say happened as a result of the first one. No one was hurt in that collision.
A closure of the right lane of the highway was causing major delays during day, but it has since been reopened.
