London Knights Mitch Marner, JJ Piccinich, and Nicolas Mattinen will be among those sporting blue and white in the NHL Rookie Tournament at Budweiser Gardens next month.
The Toronto Maple Leafs released its roster Friday for the three-day tournament that begins September 16.
In addition to Marner, Piccinich, and Mattinen, 2016 draft picks Adam Brooks, Keaton Middleton, and Jack Walker will be playing for the Leafs. Picks from the 2015 draft Travis Dermott, Jeremy Bracco, Andrew Nielsen, Martins Dzierkals, Dmytro Timashov, Stephen Desrocher, and Nikita Korostelev will also play for Toronto.
The Leafs will compete in three games against the Montreal Canadiens, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Ottawa Senators. A full team autograph session will be held following the September 16 game against the Senators.
During the tournament, London Knights player Victor Mete will play for Montreal. He was drafted 100th overall by the Canadiens following the Knights 2016 Memorial Cup win. Other Knights playing in the tournament include Ryan Rupert, C.J. Yakimowicz, and Brandon Crawley.
