It was perhaps fitting that a little rain fell on London's 2016 Pride parade.
While the rain did not dampen the spirits of anyone marching in or watching Sunday's parade, it may have served as a reminder that even on what is supposed to be the happiest of days for London's LGBTQ community, there are still those who would threaten it.
This year's festivities included a tribute to the 49 people who were murdered at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando last month. Placards displayed the names and faces of each of the victims.
The atmosphere along the parade was one of support and love, as crowds lining the route clapped and waved rainbow flags.
A solitary protester holding a sign was seen along the parade route.
