A band of thunderstorms that passed over the region on Monday left thousands without power north and south of London.
More than 4,350 Hydro One customers from St. Thomas to Port Stanley to Aylmer were without power. A second major outage in the Glencoe area affected more than 2,100 customers. Another 3,229 customers lost power in the Ilderton and Lucan areas.
The storm system, which brought heavy downpours and strong winds, left power lines strewn across several roadways in St. Thomas.
OPP say lines were down on Quaker Rd. between Southdale Line and Brouwers Line and on Fairview Rd. between John Wise Line and Fruit Ridge.
