Police Investigate Similar Robberies

London police are looking for suspects after three robberies they believe were committed by the same group of young people.

The first one happened Sunday around 10pm. Police say a young male riding his bike in the area of Blackacres Blvd. and Hawthorne Rd. was approached by about eight males who were also on bikes. The victim was assaulted and had his cell phone stolen from him.

Around 2:30pm Thursday, a male who was rollerblading in the same area was approached by four males. Police say the males assaulted the rollerblader and stole his headphones. Later that night, around 11:20pm, a man walking in the area of Sarnia Rd. and Chapman Ct. was approached by 6-8 males on bikes. He was assaulted and had his cell phone taken from him.

In all three cases, the victims suffered minor injuries. Police say no weapons were seen in any of the robberies.

The suspects in the first two robberies are described as being male, black, and in their mid-to-late teens. They were wearing hoodies that covered their faces.

The suspects in the third robbery were described as being males, black and white. They were also in their mid-to-late teens and were wearing hoodies that covered their faces.

One of the robberies inspired a relative of the victim to post an ad on Kijiji, chiding those responsible.

Police are still investigating and area asking anyone with any information to call the London Police Service at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
