London Woman Facing Attempted Murder Charge

An attempted murder charge is being added to the list of charges a London woman faces after a 39-year-old woman was beaten and sent to hospital in Windsor late last month.

Police continue to investigate the incident that saw officers called out to the 1600-block of Laing St. around 1:30pm on May 22. The investigation has led to further charges and police are pursuing an unconfirmed report there may be another victim.

Assault charges had already been laid against 27-year-old Kaiyla Schram and 25-year-old Jonathon Riley — both from London — in relation to the incident.

Schram now faces charges of attempted murder, trafficking persons and aggravated assault among other charges.

Riley is charged with aggravated assault, trafficking persons and forcible confinement.

The 39-year-old victim is out of the intensive care unit, but remains in hospital for treatment.

Police are asking anyone with information related to this case to call the Windsor Police Service at 519-255-6700 x4830, Crime Stoppers anonymously at 519-258-8477 (TIPS) or to contact authorities online at catchcrooks.com or through Facebook.
