Summer may have just begun but the London Knights are already looking toward the fall and their 2016-2017 OHL season.
The Memorial Cup champions announced Tuesday they will travel to Sarnia to kick off the season with a game against the Sting on September 21.
The Knights home opener comes two days later on September 23 when the team hosts the Erie Otters at Budweiser Gardens. Details about pregame ceremonies have not yet been released.
Team officials anticipate the Knights' full schedule will be released in the coming days.
The Knights won their second Memorial Cup in franchise history on May 29, with a 3-2 overtime win over the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies in Red Deer, Alberta. A day later hundreds of Londoners packed Victoria Park for the team's homecoming.
