Traffic Stop Leads To Coke Bust

An early morning traffic stop in south London has led to charges against two men and the seizure of thousands of dollars worth of cocaine.

London police says around 1:45am Monday, an officer saw a vehicle being driven in a "suspicious manner" in the area of Wellington Rd. and Commissioners Rd. E. The officer stopped the vehicle and the occupants were arrested for possession of a controlled substance.

A further search of the men and the vehicle turned up, according to police, 135.6g of cocaine. Police also seized $1,562 in Canadian cash and a dagger. Police estimate the value of the cocaine at $17,628.

The two men, both from London, are charged with possession of a schedule 1 subtance for the purpose of trafficking.
