The London Majors are now in second place after Elis Jimenez threw a complete game shutout to lead the team to a 3-0 win over the Brantford Red Sox Wednesday night at Arnold Anderson Stadium.
Jimenez struck out eight batters, walked two and scattered seven hits.
Michael Ambrose drove in two runs on two hits and walked twice while Cleveland Brownlee had the Majors’ other RBI as London improved their record to 8-3.
For the Red Sox, Tyler Patzalek had three hits and Jeff Hunt added a pair of hits.
Nathan Forer went for six innings, allowing three runs on six hits, walking six and striking out three.
The Majors return to Labatt Park for their next game. They'll take on the Burlington Bandits Friday at 7:35 pm.
