The Windsor Express scored a narrow 100-98 victory over the London Lightning in Game 1 of their NBL Canada playoff series.
On Thursday, the Lightning took a 29-24 lead in the first quarter, but Windsor was able to inch ahead to 50-49 at halftime. The Express widened the gap to take a 14 point lead in the third, but London battled back to make it 99-98 for the Express with four seconds left in the game. However, the Lightning couldn't complete the comeback, with the Express scoring one final point before the buzzer.
Brandon Robinson scored a game high 32 points for Windsor, while Maurice Bolden put up 22 points and eight rebounds.
Akeem Wright led London with 18 points and 16 rebounds, and Garrett Williamson had 17 points and four rebounds.
The two teams are back at Budweiser Gardens on Sunday for Game 2 starting at 2pm.
