A St. Thomas man has now been charged in connection with a murder that happened on Christmas Day in 2014.
The St. Thomas Police Service says on December 25, 2014, the body of Danny DiGiandomenico was discovered in a Talbot St. apartment in St. Thomas.
The 36-year-old owned and ran the Upper Deck restaurant in St. Thomas and graduated from St. Joseph’s High School.
An autopsy showed that DiGiandomenico had died as a result of "sharp force trauma," and a police investigation determined he had been the victim of a homicide.
On Saturday, police arrested 29-year-old Michael Thomas Wilkins of St. Thomas in Woodstock. He has been charged with manslaughter and remains in custody pending a future court date.
Police say there is a publication ban in effect and no further information is being released.
