Lightning Strike Down Express 113-107

The London Lightning beat the Windsor Express 113-107 on Friday to wrap up the regular season for both teams.

The Express took a 32-25 lead in the first quarter but fell three points behind London at halftime. A back and forth third quarter saw Windsor back in the lead but the Lightning inched ahead 87-80 going into the fourth. The Express were able to catch up in the final frame, dropping the 113-107 decision to the Lightning.

Stephen Maxwell led London with 24 points and 15 rebounds, while Warren Ward and Akeem Wright both put up 20 points.

Brandon Robinson scored a game high 27 points for Windsor, and Kirk Williams Jr had 20 points and eight rebounds.

The Lightning are set to face off against Orangeville A's in the first round of the NBL Canada playoffs starting on Monday at 7pm. The Express will take on the Niagara River Lions in Game 1 on Monday at 7:30pm.
