Elgin OPP have released the name of a 38-year-old man killed in a three-vehicle crash near Belmont.
Michael Wodzinski of Aylmer died Friday morning when his Jeep collided with a tractor trailer turning from Yorke Line onto Belmont Rd. The force of the crash caused the Jeep to roll onto its side, into the path of a pick-up truck.
Wodzinski was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the pick-up was taken to hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the tractor trailer was not hurt.
Police are continuing to investigate the cause of the collision, including whether fog was a factor. Heavy fog had blanketed much of the region at the time of the crash.
