UPDATE: Charges Laid After Woman Stabbed

Two women have been charged after a stabbing in London left another woman in critical condition.

London police responded to the area of Grey St. and Clarence St. around 1:48am on Sunday, where they found a woman who had been stabbed multiple times. She remains in hospital in critical but stable condition.

Two other women were also found in the area with minor injuries. One of the women sustained minor injuries to her face and has since been released from hospital.

Police say the incident appears to have started as a consensual physical altercation between four women who know one another.

All four women were arrested at the scene earlier on Sunday, however, two have since been released without charges.

Tabitha Cooper, 24, of London is now charged with aggravated assault in relation to injuries sustained by the stabbing victim.

Also charged is 20-year-old Sophia Cooper of London, who is facing one count of assault causing bodily harm. The charge is in relation to the victim who suffered injuries to her face.

London's Major Crime Unit continues to investigate. Anyone with information is asked to call London police at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS(8477).
