Thames Centre Man Identified In Fatal Crash

Police have released the name of a 30-year-old motorcyclist who was killed in a crash east of London.

The Ontario Provincial Police say on Tuesday around 1:34pm, officers responded to Catherine St. between Shaw Rd. and Richmond St., after a red Kawasaki motorcycle traveling west collided with an orange Jeep SUV that was traveling east.

The driver of the motorcycle, 30-year-old Paul D’Andrea of Thames Centre, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Jeep, a 45-year-old woman from Thames Centre, was taken ambulance to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. She has since been discharged.

Catherine St. was closed between Richmond St. and Shaw Rd. until around 7:36pm. School buses also had to be re-routed.

No charges have been laid at this time.
