Charges Laid In Drug Store Robbery

Two men are facing charges following a drug store robbery in north London.

London police say a man walked into the Shoppers Drug Mart at 1225 Wonderland Rd. N just before 6:45pm Tuesday, and handed a note to an employee indicating he was armed and wanted narcotics.

The man then took off and was seen getting into a nearby vehicle.

No weapon was used during the robbery.

Police later spotted a vehicle matching the description of the vehicle used in the robbery and arrested two men.

A 26-year-old and a 27-year-old are both charged with robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery.

The 27-year-old is also charged with wearing a disguise.

Police continue to investigate the robbery and are asking anyone with information to give them a call at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
